The regular schedule for turnaround is as follows:
Ready to ship: 1-3 days
Made to order: 10-14 days
Custom made: 2-4 weeks
During the peak season (Oct - Dec) the turnaround time changes to the following:
Ready to ship: 2-5 days
Made to order: 3-4 weeks
Custom made: 4-6 weeks

I cannot guarantee that I’ll be able to accommodate your rush order, however, if my workload allows, I would be happy to try! All handwriting is recreated by hand into an authentic, high quality digital replica of the original. This helps immensely with fainted lettering, missing words, lines or stains. I encourage engraving the handwriting just as it was written - messy, crooked, scribbles, and even the odd spelling mistake. That’s what makes it even more meaningful!
However, there are situations where having a little more creative control with the artwork, opens up more possibilities. With how I create the digital artwork, handwriting can be reformatted to better compliment certain keepsake shapes, sizes and orientations. And I can always add handwriting or a signature from another file to make it that much more special.
Once you see the proof it will look and feel as though they rewrote the recipe themselves - just for you! All artwork is sent for approval before anything is made - we want this to be just right!
- Once you put in your order, you will receive an email with instructions to send me your hand-written note.
- Upload the highest quality picture or digital scan (.jpg or .pdf)
- If some of the letters from your recipe are faded, make a photocopy of the recipe, then trace over the writing with dark ink to make them legible before shooting. However, if I can see the stroke, I can recreate the word.
---If you do not have a handwritten version, handwriting can be engraved with a vintage typewriter font with a signature at the bottom if available. In this case, a typed recipe or select wording can be included in the personalization section on the product page. Any digital files of the signature can be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please proof spelling and wording before sending as I copy & paste.
Artwork proofs will be provided via email for review and approval. This is to ensure design, spelling and layout are correct. Once approved, only production process errors and defects are covered for replacement. Please review carefully. All artwork approval is due within 24-72 hours of receipt depending on complexity of design. If I have not heard from you within the time frame indicated, I will consider the artwork approved and proceed with production.
Occasionally, certain product design or sizes will not be complimentary with the handwriting or artwork chosen. In this case, you will be contacted with alternative options such as product size, orientation or design. This may incur in additional charges. If you chose not to proceed, your order will be refunded in full.
Shipping costs are at the expense of the client. Currently, we ship within Canada only. We occasionally will ship things internationally on a case-by-case basis. If you’d like to inquire about an international order, please contact me.

RESTRICTIONS APPLY on free shipping over $250+. Oversized (greater than 22 inches) and/or overweight (greater than 15lbs) will incur additional shipping charges. These charges will be added automatically at checkout.
Generally, orders arrive within 3-7 business days depending on your location, but please allow up to 10 business days for standard shipping orders.
With shipping, we are at the mercy of the carrier. Since COVID, they have experienced major delays and backlogs especially during peak times in addition to the normal impact severe weather affects delivery times. I do everything I can to make the shipping as seamless and safe as possible, but unfortunately once your order leaves my studio, it is outside of my control. I therefore cannot be held responsible for delayed packages, incorrect addresses or lost items.
Product quality and customer satisfaction are a top priority, and each situation is dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Unfortunately, accidents and mistakes can happen. If there is an issue with your order, such as a damaged/defective item or a production error, please contact Terri within 72 hours of delivery. Anything after the 3 days will not be the responsibility of From Inside Out Creative Studio.
If the order was damaged due to delivery, I will need photos of the damaged item, as well as photos of the box the damaged item was shipped in. We must have the images in order to notify the shipping company and file the necessary damage claims. After claim is presented to the shipping company, we will arrange to have damaged items and their packaging inspected, returned and replaced.
IMPORTANT: Please keep original shipping packaging your item was received in, as they are needed for inspection.
- If you suspect that you have made an error in your delivery address, corrections must be made before your order is dispatched. Please email us immediately at email@example.com.
- If we have already shipped your item, we will not be able to refund or replace your order.
Return and Exchange
Due to the handmade & customized nature of my products, as well as the made to order production, I do not accept returns or exchanges. Please review all items carefully before a purchase is made as all sales are final. If you are unhappy in any way, please contact me.
Gift cards are non-refundable and have no cash value.
Any order cancellations must be done within 24 hours of the order being placed. Cancelled orders are subject to a 5% processing fee from the payment processor. Please contact Terri with your order number and reason for cancellation. Orders placed beyond 24 hours have begun production and cannot be cancelled.
